Presonus has annouced four new mixers for the StudioLive family of mixers which includes their flagship mixer, the StudioLive 64S. The StudioLive 32S, 32SX and 32SC complete the updated line up. There is also a new firmware update (Universal Control 3.0) that will apply to all the StudioLive Boards.
The flagship of the StudioLive mixer family is the 64S. It boasts 64 channels and 76 mix channels when using the AVB stage boxes. There are 16 XLR mic preamps and 16 XLR – 1/4″ combo mic/line preamps. There 2 XLR main outputs and a 16 additional XLR mix bus outputs.
The major update comes in the form of a quad-core FLEX DSP engine that can run 526 simultaneous processors, 43 mix buses and 76 mixing channels on the StudioLive 64S. The firmware update will allow all boards in the StudioLive family to record and playback up to 64 channels thru the usb port.
The Universal Control 3.0 firmware update will provide an improved projects/scenes workflow, performance improvements, 64×64 AVB I/O and 64×64 USB recording across the whole StudioLive family of mixers.
The new StudioLive mixers are slated to ship in early May 2019.
